Geelong, Victoria's largest regional city is located on the edge of beautiful Corio Bay. It is less than one hour from Melbourne and only half an hour from some of Australia's magnificent surf beaches and the Great Ocean Road.
The "City By The Bay" provides you with a spectacular waterfront precinct, parks, gardens, beaches, great dining and an exciting nightlife!
Villamanta House is ideally situated to take advantage of all Geelong's attractions and is only 300 metres from the Geelong Train Station and Bus Port. A few easy minutes walk gets you to the Library and Art Gallery, the City Centre, Deakin Waterfront campus, Eastern Beach and the cosmopolitan Pakington Street café precinct, supermarket and shopping centre. Just around the corner is a great Irish pub too!
Positioned on the edge of the City but in a quiet residential side street our location has the best of both worlds.

So whether you are planning on studying at the Deakin Waterfront or Waurn Ponds campus' or perhaps at the Gordon TAFE, you will find the location very convenient for getting to school, all the great places Geelong and the Surf Coast has to offer or jumping on a train to Melbourne or a bus to the airport.
Our Great Facilities
Villamanta House is a 13 bedroom two storey student residence. The house has been fully refurbished and features quality furniture, carpets and a vibrant colour scheme throughout. All the bedrooms are well appointed:
- Double size comfortable beds, carpeted floors, fresh colors
- Large study desk with leather office chair, desk light and pin-board
- Closet, chest of drawers and mirror
- Own refrigerator with freezer compartment
- TV aerial point and connection for private phone (connection costs & fees apply)
- Central heating and cooling at the rear section of the house or
- Individual room reverse cycle air conditioners at the front and upstairs
- A free packaged breakfast is provided for your first two nights
"Deluxe" bedrooms are the biggest with lots of space.
They have their own 2 1/2 seater sofa.
All rooms have double size comfy beds for a good nights sleep.
 "Large" bedrooms have identical furnishings to the Deluxe rooms, but without the sofa.
The color schemes are vibrant throughout the house.
To keep in touch with the world and for that all important study we have a high speed broadband wireless internet service which can be accessed anywhere in the house or even outside. A monthly download of 50 GB is shared between all students meaning an average of 4 GB each.
 When you need a break from study there is a large lounge room with a dvd/cd player and cable television featuring movie channels.
Alternatively you might like to relax with a game of billiards in the pool room or simply relax in a comfy chair with a book.
A fully equipped kitchen allows you to explore your culinary talents with everything supplied: pots, pans, utensils, toaster, microwave, two cooktops, oven, instant boiling water supply, tea towels and detergents.
If you prefer there is also a barbeque and outdoor setting for those warm nights.
Your personal needs are also well catered for with 6 toilets (paper, handtowel and soap provided), 4 showers and a laundry with coin operated clothes dryer, free washing machine and ironing facility, vacuum cleaner, broom and twin stainless steel sinks.
Cleaning of all common areas is provided by the Owners.
Entry, Security and Safety
Entry is via gates off Anderson Street or McNicol Street at the rear of the property or the front entrance in Villamanta Street. Entry to the building without a key is not possible. Each resident is supplied with a single key for external door entry and for individual bedroom entry. It is not possible to lock your key in your bedroom.
Motion detection security lights surround the rear of the property and both the front and rear entrances are well lit from dusk to dawn.
A smoke detection and sprinkler system is installed throughout the building for your comfort and added safety.
